How to stay productive in quarantine.

I hear so many people say they are bored.  How can you be bored in a time of being able to do what you want, when you want?  I just can't wrap my head around it.  With all of the offerings being made by teachers, schools, artists, singers, yogis, sound baths and meditations.

Since day one of quarantine I knew exactly what I needed to do because there were things I wanted to work on that I didn't have enough time for.  This was like a dream come true.  So I started my day like every other work day.  I wake up at 7am and start my miracle morning.  I meditate, write what I am grateful for, journal all the things I want to get out of my head and onto a piece of paper so I have piece of mind.  I walk in nature with the dog and I exercise, practice yoga or just have brekkie.

You can start a new project.  I created a free Gratitude to Abundance course.  I wanted to share my gratitude practice with more people and that was the best way for me to share it.  I worked on my business with no excuses because I had the time.  I was finally working from home full time.
I meditated mid day, and relaxed to piano meditations, I have never been so zen.  I scheduled writing meeting with my partner as we work on our next script.  Thank goodness for those mornings as you get to feel creative and more interaction with someone else.

I have a cocktail for happy hour with a friend to connect and check in with all of us.  I have been technically working from home for the past two and a half years on my business.  I already had a good routine of getting things done.  This free time has allotted me do more.  I listen to podcasts and lectures by financial experts, motivational speakers and my business coach.  I soak everything up like a sponge.

As the weeks drag on it does get harder.  I have my moments too.  I am optimistic about the future and us all getting through this, but most of all I realize I don't want to go back to the life I had.  The job I stayed at too long, not having enough time to work on my own business, auditions and writing.  I am even more focused now to finish up the projects I started so when this quarantine is over I feel like I finished something and have something to offer to the world.  To give back in my writing, my art, my auditions, and meeting new people online with other creatives and new alliances formed.

Only the privileged would day utter I am so bored!  We are so lucky to be in our homes, eating good food, getting paid and staying healthy.  I feel blessed and I want to take advantage of this time.  If you are "bored" try volunteering, become an essential worker, take a class, write something.  Just don't say that you are bored.  Feeling grateful for this time is a great way to have more abundance.  Be grateful for your family, for you education, for you freedom, for your time.
