Prince Harry & Meghan Markle!

Image
We are getting closer to the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Never in my wildest imagination would I have pictured this coupling. Growing up half British, and half Black, I traveled back and forth across the pond, my love for Great Britain runs deep. My family still resides there. I loved seeing Princess Diana marry into the Royal family and was devastated by her loss of life.  Yet, there was so much life in those two boys of hers we all held onto hope for the future.  I adore Kate Middleton as Prince William's wife. She's absolutely lovely and well groomed for this position in life. Meghan is just as much a wild card as Harry is. I'm not sure if she knows exactly what she is getting herself into, but they seem smitten.  My advice to Meghan, do NOT pull a stupid British accent down the road.  Stay American! Madonna and Gwyneth's fake British accent did not do so well with the public. It seems fake, and pretentious!  I can't bloody stand to hear a...

Spring Fashion is here!

Image
I went to Catholic school where I wore a uniform for 8 years. Then, when I went to high school I was able to wear what I wanted. This is where my love for fashion began. I got the chance to express myself in a fun, stylistic way. I came up with some killer looks. When I travelled to Liverpool, I was able to purchase things that weren't even available in the U.S. Then I started working in fashion, and I modeled from 14-22, I still do print jobs for my age range now! I started off in high school working at Wilson's Leather for many years at the mall, when the mall was cool! My friends all worked there too! It was like the mall in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.  Every time I watch that movie it reminds me of those days!  https://amzn.to/2G2vfZ4 I started working as a stylist assistant to Timothy Snell and worked with the biggest names in Hollywood.  I learned so much from Tim.  It really helped me to be able to shop, pair things together, and I learned how to make cl...

Single Ladies Saturday Night Tips!

Image
Since I work at a bar I always see people on their Tinder dates, just meeting for the first time, hooking up unexpectedly at the end of the night.  I have first hand knowledge of what to do and not to do.  Now that we're in the digital age of everything being electronic, and that's how most people meet these days, I just wanted to give some tips for a fun night out on the town. For my ladies, just talk to guys, guys you don't know. Don't go out to a bar if you aren't going to socialize, otherwise stay home with your cats. I have seen some pretty amazing guys out at my bar, and some ladies just pass them by and miss out on good opportunities.  Just give them a chance, it may take a couple of times to see what they're all about. Put away your inner mean girl! You know that girl who just wants to be the hottest thing in the room. Boring! Miss, too good for everyone else in the room. Walking around judging everyone. Wondering who do they think they are. We'r...

Volunteering your time and making the world a better place!

Image
I love volunteering my time to give back to the world, and the universe.  It took me a while to find the right organizations that I wanted to spend time doing, and what I believe in. I have volunteered with Boys & Girls Club and their Dove campaign for girls with self esteem. Surfrider beach cleanups and ban the straw movement. Operation Gratitude for our troops over seas, and most recently Young-storytellers, a playwriting, and film making program for kids. I like to make a difference in the world and hopefully a small difference in someone else's life.  Some days, I would go in feeling sorry for my actor self and by the end of my volunteer time I would feel so much more fulfilled because I took the focus off myself for a few hours. My favorite organization is Young-storytellers.  It has a special place in my heart because all I ever wanted was to be an actress and work in the entertainment industry.  So, I see these kids who are so excited about telling the...

Rainy days in LA are the best!  It just washes away the sin and disappointment of expectations. We are experiencing a great deal of torrential mudslides and the structure of our beautiful desert falls away so quickly, but I know the beauty of California will prevail with poppies in the desert, rainbows and a clean sky that will be perfect for our beautiful hikes. Since, I am half English, I do enjoy the opportunity to wear my Wellingtons, and my Anne Klein Tweed blazer here in Los Angeles.  I have noticed how popular Wellies have become with this new generation.  You used to only see them in the U.K. but now it's certainly taken over here. I crave British baking, and my favorite Welsh Rarebit and a glass of Strongbow cider.  It's definitely not on the VVV food program, but you can enjoy life! I wish I had time to go to see a film in the theater, but I had work to do at home, so I watched a wonderful true love story Breathe, featuring Claire Foy and Andrew Garfiel...

Who am I?

Image
Who am I? Ah, isn't that the never ending question in life. Aren't we all trying to figure out exactly who we are. Everyday I change. Thank God! Change is the kiss 💋of evolution. I don't want to stay the same. I am an ever evolving, women👯, athlete, actress, yogi, mermaid, dog 🐶mom, and family woman. I love wine, working out, cooking, hiking, biking, and traveling.  I am a die hard romantic, with no potential loves in my life. I hate online dating, and I meet actors in my business and they have been the worst men to even think about having a serious relationship with. I am still optimistic  💑about finding love in my life, but I am hoping it will be more organic. Like, through friends, on-set, or on vacation. 𐇢 I thought my life would be like one of the British period piece films, that I used to watch with my mum on PBS' Masterpiece Theater, such as The Forsythe Saga.  Where the girl has no dowry, but she ends up marrying for love into a family with loads of mon...
