Single Ladies Saturday Night Out! Life after a breakup.
Lately, I have had quite a few girlfriends going through a break up with their boyfriends. Life always seems like everything is falling apart because everything you know and love is now over. It's the cliche' some people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. How true is that?
I've had so many breakups I feel like a professional. In one of my younger relationships he wanted me to move in with him after high school. I was clearly not ready to live with someone and he wanted me to stay in my hometown, and I already knew I wanted to live in California. So this was not part of my plan. So, I broke up with him. It wasn't easy as he was a great guy, but not my longtime love or partner. I learned a lot and it kept me on my path of where I was destined to be, and I sit here in California writing this blog.
Of course during the aftermath of a breakup nothing makes sense and your just sad, mad, lonely, feeling rejected. Wondering where he is, what he's doing and who he is with, our mind constantly wandering. My advice I tell my friends is to just show yourself more self love. Take the time to heal and do healthy things for yourself. Sometimes you have to have time for yourself to think and maybe your lives have been so intertwined your friendships may shift. So, make new friends. There is a great big world out there and there are new guys, new girls you can align with and have new experiences with. Go book that massage, try a yoga class. Do something that makes you feel good.
Community is so important! It's where you meet new people, so join a group, but I recommend something where there are men and women. Dodgeball, martial arts, softball team, something fun where you can mingle with guys and girls who are friends, and you meet their friends.
Since I am a Wellness Coach at www.balancedbellasonline.com and we have a 16 week online health program, I have been recommending this to my friends and clients after their breakups. The reason why is you will find yourself giving yourself so much self love, health, and support that by the end of the 16 weeks you will have a transformation that will really help you get over that guy and heal from that relationship. It's a great way to participate in our Self Love Challenge, Manifestation Challenge and so much more. There is life after a breakup and if this was possible for me years ago, I thing I would have healed better and flourished from a program like this! And for less than a coffee a day, it's affordable too!
When we do go through a breakup it's because one or both of us have changed, grown, moved on in a different direction or stage in life. That's okay, that's what happens in life. So embrace the change, meet someone new who is one your level and make new wonderful loving memories with that person. The beauty of love is it can come in many forms, and in many stages of life. So whether you are young or seasoned like myself, stay open, and ready for love. It may be right around the corner.
